Seared salmon
Seared salmon is the perfect way to elevate any meal with minimal effort and maximum flavor. With just a hot skillet, a handful of ingredients, and a few simple steps, you can create a beautifully crisp, golden crust while keeping the inside tender and juicy.
Ingredients
Number of desired Salmon Filets
1 tsp Canela oil for skillet
Additional oil to rub on filets
Kosher salt and Black pepper
Heat oven to 375 degrees
Heat oven proof skillet on medium heat, Add 1 tsp of oil
Wash and dry Salmon, Rub the meaty side of Salmon with a very minor amount of oil, then season with salt and pepper
Increase heat for skillet to high.
Place Salmon in skillet, meaty side down and sear for 6 minutes on high heat
After 6 minutes, place skillet in pre-heated oven for about 10 minutes
Caution ... Please remember the skillet will be very hot, cover the handle with a potholder to remove skillet from the hot oven
Serve Salmon with rice, veggies, and salad
